The Exeter College Online Tutorial Programme is an opportunity to experience Oxford University’s tutorial system with the added convenience of studying when you want to, remotely from anywhere in the world.
Tutorials, Oxford’s core teaching, are based around conversations between student and tutor. Our tutorials take place 1-to-1 and are your chance to talk in-depth about your subject and to receive individual feedback on your work from a specialist in your chosen subject.
The dates are flexible throughout the year. In general, our recommendation is to commit to a tutorial over 8-weeks, with the minimum duration being 6-weeks.
The Programme fee comprises two elements:
(1) £60 Application fee, covering the cost of administering your application; and
(2) £1,975 Tuition fee, covering:
– 1-to-1 teaching for your project in the Oxford tutorial-style of supervised study
– Regular and comprehensive feedback on your work
– Assessment and a transcript of academic results
– Practical guidance on conducting research remotely
– Individual academic support throughout the Programme
– Supplementary electronic academic resources
– A series of evening ‘plenary lectures’Cancellation Policy
If you have to cancel your place on the Programme, we will return 100% of the fee if you cancel within 10 days of paying the Programme Fee or in the event that we are unable to place you with a tutor.Application to the 2024 Programme is now open.
