STUDY TRIPS: Students will take a tour of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, visit the national parliament of Germany (Bundestag) in Berlin, the European Central Bank in Frankfurt and meet with European public agencies in Stuttgart.
GERMAN LANGUAGE & CULTURE: The Summer Schools include three parallel German language courses on different proficiency levels. Through an intercultural and communicative approach students will be actively involved in class to encourage language and intercultural learning.
BUDDY PROGRAM: Within the Buddy Program a student of the University of Tubingen teams up with a participant. One German “buddy” will take care of an IES-student during the entire stay in Tubingen. This will allow students to get to know German students, and experience student life first-hand.
LOCATION: Tubingen does not have a university, it is a university. The picturesque historical town center and its attractive position on the Neckar River offer a high quality of life whether you are studying, working, or taking a break. Located at the heart of Europe, Tubingen is close to Strasbourg, seat of the European Parliament.
The program fee includes courses, course material, study trips, accommodation as well as social and cultural activities. Financial support is available.
We would be very grateful if you could pass this information on to your students!
