This is to inform you regarding the issuance of your Certificate of Admission (CoA), your Certificate of Scholarship, and the tuition payment period for the upcoming semester of Spring 2022.
Please read the following information very carefully.
In order to issue your Certificate of Admission (CoA), which is required for a student visa (D-2), you must pay your tuition first. However, if we issue the 'document' after the existing registration period, your entry may be delayed, so we inform you of the pre-registration period as follows.

In order to help our new incoming international students receive their visa and arrive in Korea on time for the beginning of their first semesters, SNU has set up a pre-registration period for paying tuition and registration.
(The original registration period (February 7th (Mon.) ~ February 11th (Fri.) will be still open and alive, the pre- registration/tuition payment period is just to give our students another option to register early and prepare for their entry to Korea. )
Pre-registration (tuition payment) period: January 3rd (Mon.) ~ January 7th (Fri.)
If you have applied for a scholarship that involves tuition waiver, you must be wondering how this will affect you following this newly added tuition payment period.
If you have applied for a scholarship that involves tuition waiver for the upcoming Spring semester of 2022, please wait for the announcement of the scholarship results.
All results for scholarship applications of Spring 2022 that involves tuition waiver will be sent out no later than December 29th.
(For GS scholarship applicants (newly admitted students), the results will be out on December 28th.)
If you have found out that you are a scholarship recipient, please do not pay the tuition.
※ NOTE: GS Scholarship results for applicants who are “currently enrolled”:

We strongly advise all scholarship applicants to prepare to pay for their tuition during the pre-registration period, just in case they do not get selected as a scholarship recipients.
This is to ensure that you will get your CoA and receive your visa on time for your arrival to Korea.
From December 29th, if your tuition payment is confirmed in the SNU portal system (including new scholarship recipients), your Certificate of Admission will be sent sequentially every day to your e-mail.
If you have not been selected as a scholarship recipient for the Spring semester, please pay for your tuition during the pre-registration period (or the existing registration period).
There may be a delay for the international transactions, so please pay as soon as possible. If you are unable to pay during the additional registration period, you can pay during the existing registration period. In this case, we ask for your understanding that your CoA issuance may be delayed.
